WorkPlacePLUS offers a professional training and development module called Domestic Violence Contact Offer Training. This program is designed to prepare an organisation’s contact officers to better understand the policy and legislative requirements around safety and equal employment opportunity, and how to support employees who are victims and/or survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV).
The training covers areas such recognising signs in colleagues who maybe experiencing DFV.
Participants will learn:

Their role as contact officer in the organisation in relation to the policy
Appropriate and inappropriate things to say to DFV victims
What internal and external resources are available to DFV victims
How to set up appropriate referrals
How to establish appropriate support
